Mr. James Hayter was invited to attend and address the conference on behalf of IFLA. Under the theme of "landscape architecture and beautiful China", the event is composed of three major parts, including the plenary session, parallel sessions and field trips. The conference was also graced by eight experts in the fields of architecture, land planning, urban planning and landscape architecture from China, the United States and Japan, who delivered keynote speeches. These speeches had touched upon various topics including land space planning, national park construction, ecological restoration and environmental improvement, protection of historical scenic spots resources, landscape planning methods, construction of green intelligent cities, as well as practices in the construction of Shanghai’s green system.
